American astronaut Peggy Whitson, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Maletchenko, and South Korean scientist Yi soen Yeon landed safely on Earth. They were returning from the International Space Station. They landed in a Soyuz capsule in the steppes of Kazakhstan. Peggy Whitson, Yuri Maletchenko, and Yi Soen Yeon experienced a "ballistic landing". Their Soyuz capsule landed 20 minutes later and 400 kilometers off from the targeted landing site. Luckily, they all survived.
