Pelican Rapids High School Bus Crash

A bus from Pelican Rapids High School was involved in a wreck in Minnesota on Saturday morning. They were returning from a band conference in Chicago. They were in Albertville, Minnesota when the crash took place. One student was killed, while others were injured. The bus had rolled over on Interstate 94. About half of the 50 students aboard the bus were taken to hospitals near by. The accident took place around 6 a.m. this morning. Of the two buses carrying the students, only the one bus was involved.
The bus is believed to have been going about 70-75 miles per hour according to Ken Hage, a witness on the other bus.
He watched the bus go off of the road and into a ditch. It then went airborne and flipped over onto a grass shoulder.
