People who say Kick-ASS can not grasp RADIOHEAD.

People who say Kick-ASS can not grasp RADIOHEAD.

Radiohead is clearly not targeted to the radio mainstream, however, some how they made it there and people judge. Those who do not have a passion or appreciation for music could ever truley listen and appreciate radiohead. Its like having a taste for fine wine not everyone can appreciate these things. As an artist and a musician I can say without a doubt that the talent of Radiohead is classic. It is without doubt, their live performances I have had the priviledge to experience are mindblowing and the pure talent is shown through the complex sound they create. Radiohead shows body and soul in their music and it is inconcivable how any true musician or artist could deny the genius of at least one of their works.

If over-rated means that Radiohead's lyrics are deep, passionate and envokes thoughts and feelings, then Guilty.

By saying over-rated you mean Radiohead has artistically and freely expanded rock music to into an abstract form of raw and uninhibited thought and views and feelings, Guilty as Charged.

How strange how someone could find something so outstanding and different boring. How something so electrifying and thought provoking could make one want to puncture their own eardrum. I would dare to say that the person saying how over-rated a groups work is probably has not listened to the work. One song does not make a band. And making brash statements based upon even one CD is ignorant. Please study these groups music and history first then say they are over-rated because last time I checked none of the groups stated as over-rated ever went on TRL.

Actually, the current trend

Actually, the current trend appears to be devoting entire xombyte's to my opinions. And apparently now I have a stalker(animal). You know, it ain't so bad. Carry on, carry on. "Thank you for driving carefully through the villiage." That's what the sign says.

I appreciate your comment

I understand what you are saying but I just wanted to be annoying. I know the type of person who writes brash statements to conger up reactions from others. I actually appreciated your 5 greatest bands of all times. I happen to agree with you. I think the one reason why Radiohead appeals to me is because of Thom York's voice is in My range and I can sing along with it and believe it or not its a great warm up of the vocal chords. I have purchased other ablums after OK computer. I at first was unsure of the technoesque strange music that has progress from the once grunge like guitar rock band. Now, I might even like some of the later albums even better because of the unique quality they have. I think a true critic who is worth reading is one that can list one positive quality because the band is out there being creative and pouring their hearts and souls into the music. They write the lyrics the music, they create a sound. I can have respect for anyband who does that because it's an artform and I may not love it but I have to respect it because I'm an artist as well. We might just have different interpretations.

following ken light around?

y'know... it seems like every xombyte i read has some jackass comment or several by ken light afterwards telling other people how much smarter than them he is... i think this boy's got some issues? listen queenie, for the love of god... don't let other people tell you what to think about a band or such. you love radiohead & there's a whole army of people with you. however... i know a great many music fans who don't care for them. they like a song or two, maybe. & sometimes, if you catch 'em JUST right, they'll get into a few songs off a record before they gotta go to another room. one of my band-mates is on public record as saying that thom yorke has the most annoying voice of any man recorded. as for me... i've been a radioheadhead since the early days. their third concert in north america took place at barrymore's in ottawa while i was working there. great show... great band... one of the survivors from a time (the early 90s) when bands tried to play new & distinctive music. & ruined it for rock radio ever since (i hold radiohead largely responsible for system of a down, f'rinstance). but even i must admit that i stopped buying new radiohead releases after ok computer. first, because ok computer is probably the best record they're ever going to do. & second... because i began to notice a general sameness to their songs. good songs. intricate. challenging... & repetetive, y'know? many years ago, an aspiring playwright sent george bernard shaw a copy of her play w/ several pages glued together. it's an old writer's trick to find out if someone actually read through yer manuscript. when she challenged shaw about his dismissal of the play without reading the whole thing, he replied, "you don't need to eat a whole egg to know it's rotten." people who don't like radiohead aren't gonna like them if they study the total body of their work. if anything, they're most likely gonna hate them all the more & they're gonna hate YOU for suggesting that they do it. but finally, for queenyorke & anyone else... if you read someone's xombyte & it inspires you to write one of your own, then WRITE ONE OF YOUR OWN!!! don't buy into ken light's nonsense about limiting yerself to replies to HIS mewlings.

or maybe not...

Its better to do this by

Its better to do this by clicking add comment rather than post new xombyte. I'd reply to your opinion, but you tend to measure a band's merit by TRL appearances...so why bother? "Thank you for driving carefully through the villiage." That's what the sign says.
