Personal Preparedness - Are You Prepared for Disaster Situations

Being prepared is protecting yourself and your family. Are you prepared? At various levels in our life, from preschool fire drills to public meetings, we are inundated with disaster and emergency information. It has become daily living to be in fear of what is coming. With knowledge, we can overcome fear. Initial search will reveal disaster information to be found on http://www.fema.gov/hazard/index.shtm, which comes to you from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. With the organization of FEMA, our lives became part of the “demographics” and we are not thought of as individuals, anymore. We can, however, take advantage of the information provided to again claim our value and worth for surviving a disaster.
