Pessimism: An Ingredient to Improved Memory

Could pessimism be the new ginkgo biloba?  A recent Australian study by professor Joseph Forgas found that negativity could possibly share a correlation with memory improvement. Is optimism, thus, the nemesis of a sharp mind?  While the new theory may be seductively strange, read the article below with a skeptical eye...according to the research it is summarizing, your mind (and memory) will be better for it.
