I'm with PETA on this one

I don't always agree with this group, but I know that circus/show biz elephants and wild cats have terrible lives, no matter how much their owners protest that they love their animals. It is cruel and abusive to keep elephants in chains and wild cats in cages and teach them tricks like you would a domesticated dog. They are wild animals, with their own needs, not performers, and they should not be whipped and beaten and psychologically broken into submission. And unfortunately the American Humane Association, which supposedly regulates treatment of animals on movie sets, TV, videos, etc., will not take a stand against exploiting wild animals in these venues. Instead, all it does is try to prevent the worst abuses of these poor animals, most of the time.
