Philosophy with THE MATRIX: Cox’s Big-Money Deal with the Wachowskis

(If I were any kind of “opportunist,” I

‘Philosophy with THE MATRIX’-articles
... and I kinda just did [except I decided
people want the newer news first, and
so this article got buried in a 'to do'-list].)

It’s possible that cable-companies have some sort of deal with the Wachowski-brothers (producers of the MATRIX-series) because the discovery that I have cable-television is always closely-linked with the occasional HBO-feature of the MATRIX-series.

See, my Internet and Telephone are digitally served by COX Communications, who also does Digital Cable-Television. In order to connect my Internet and Telephone, they had to disconnect my cable-antenna, so they reconnected it through a cable-filter.

I don’t know; perhaps MATRIX-movies ‘unlock’ my cable-box’s filter. Of course, I’ll have to take all the blame if the connection is now “illegal” ... wouldn’t want the Wachowskis to suffer any more hardship than they already have.

Then again, I might’ve “earned” illegal cable—myself being made ‘illegal’ (under a couple definitions of the word) by an organization that–the law claims–makes children into ‘legal’ citizens.

I cannot “make” anything illegal, illegal things can only be given to me (after their legality is ‘bought’ by the legal actions of others). E.g. I cannot steal your money, but it’s perfectly legal for you to make a deal with yourself and give the money to me; I cannot move rent-free into Founders’ Plaza’s 360°, but it’s perfectly legal for you to make a deal with 360°’s owners and give the keys to me;

I cannot ‘steal cable-television,’ but it’s perfectly legal for COX Communications and the Wachowski-brothers to give the cable-television to me (realizing that, whatever they lose in service-fees, they make up for in the marketing of the types of content which only they provide!)
