"Phishing" Scams - Beware of these emails from Fake Financial Banks!
posted August 22, 2007 - 1:42am Lately i have been getting an increasing amount of emails claiming to be from Banks and other financial institutions. Most major internet sites and financial institutions have been targeted like eBay and Citibank and others.
When you get them delete them immediately.These are attempts to get your
account login information.
So protect yourself from this fraud!
Below is an example of one of these emails.
"Dear Tdbanknorth member,
This email was sent by the tdbanknorth server to verify your account information. You must complete this process by clicking on the link below and enter your account information to validate your online account data. This is done for your protection,because some of our members no longer have access to their online account information and we must caution this effect. To verify your identity and secure your online banking details, click on the link below.

Please fill in the required information.
