Play Farm Games Like Farmville

Farmville is a popular Facebook game by Zynga, and it's taken the world by storm. I don't know about all of you, but I get about 20 Farmville requests a day, which borders on ridiculous. Nevertheless, it's a GREAT game...although the thought of myself actually working on a real farm would be like something from Green Acres.

If you love Farmville, you might want to check out some similar games for the pc and Wii. These games have influenced Farmville, and are a great way to pass the time if you like the farming theme.

Alice Greenfingers 2, PC

Comment: This is the best pc game, and has a lot of the farming tasks you'll find in Farmville. It's a time management game, which means you try to get everything done on a schedule and manage your resources. It's really addictive.

Farm Frenzy 3

Comment: Silly is an understatement, but it's really fun. It's a frantic time managment game that has you raising animals and protecting them from random attacks...with lots of silly twists.

Kelly Green Garden Queen

Comment: This is a neat time managment game, where you run a small farm that uses organic and natural methods to grow plants and herbs.

Sunshine Acres, PC

Comment: It's challenging! I got stuck towards the end, but otherwise I loved it. You have to raise crops, but also make items with them, like honey and popcorn.

Dairy Dash, PC

Comment: It's cute if you like raising farm animals and milking cows. This is also a time management game, which pits you against the clock.

Farm Craft, PC

Comment: I love the graphics in this game. It's very hectic and fast paced once you finish the tutorial, so be prepared.

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility, Wii

Comment: This is the best farming game ever, imo. There are a whole series of Harvest Moon games for earlier game consoles. You can do so many things, including raise crops and animals, get married and have a family, etc. It's completely worth checking out, and packs hours of entertainment.

Enjoy your virtual farms!

Farm Town is really cute. The glitches need some ironing, but otherwise it's pretty cool. Edited to add: Farm Town was first on Facebook, and Farmville has been accused of swiping the concept. It's not a new concept though...Harvest Moon was before all of them.

The lack of socialization is a downside to pc gaming when you compare it to Facebook.

Interesting

Interesting list. I've only played Farm Frenzy Pizza Party and I wouldn't say it's for animal lovers (unless you only love farm animals). I remember it made my finger tired from all the clicking to keep the bears/pandas away lol! But yea, it was definitely fun! I've also played one of the earlier Harvest Moons but didn't get very far so can't say anything. I'll definitely check out the other games though, when I have time hehe.

Still, I don't get what's so great about Farmville. Other than it's less glitchy and the animals have some use, I think Farmtown is still better lol. Maybe it's 'cause I'm able to do cool things with the flowers on Farmtown and the fact other people can harvest/plow for me haha. With benefit to both of us too so I don't feel bad making them work xD. It gives a chance to socialize too. The flower thing is definitely a biggy for me though (next flower project will be a blue dragon and/or phoenix mwahahaha) since it gives me a chance to be more creative. Just my opinion though =3
