Poker in the front...
posted October 30, 2006 - 1:16pmWhy do people feel the need to argue about poker theory? For you football fans out there, its the artificial tuff debate, or the DH in baseball. In the end, its just an opinion.
But I see it in every game I play or run. "What are you playing that for? You can't call me with that?!?" Usually its the player that just lost making these shouts of consternation. Someone just did something that was, lets call it out-side-the-box. You could also call it dumb, but that's the game.
Did you play your hand ok? Then shut-the-fuck-up-and-go-away. We're talking about a game of chance here. Yes, there is quite a bit of skill involved, but you still need luck to win too. So, srange things happen all the time. Look at the big picture. If you play this person again, chances are, you'll know this rather sloppy play (in your opinion) will be there, so take advantage! That's the whole idea anyway.
Never expect the table to play exactly like you, cause they won't, I promise you that. And really, isn't that the part that makes it more interesting anyway?
