Political Attack Ads in the U.S. Presidential Race

Political Attack Ads in the U.S. Presidential Race

So, who is calling who names? Campaign ads are taking a downturn and the candidates are going tit for tat with out of context sound bites and unchecked facts. I'm just glad we haven't seen the "he started it!" ads to defend their misleading attack ads. View the CBS news video below that talks about the latest slew of political attack ads from both parties and explains their inaccuracies and the truth behind the claims made in the commercials.

Third Party

Unfortunately we still do not have a viable third party and Ralph Nader is a great guy, but nowhere near the guy (or gal..gotta be PC) we need leading our country. The major problem is how polarized our country has become. We need to get more centered and then "stay the course." McCain may have gotten my vote if he chose his VP carefully, but the choice he made has killed any credibility he may have had with me. I wish I could merge McCain and Obama and make some kind of McBomination...wait a minute..that would be Colin Powell Click here to find out how you can get paid to post items like this. The video says that McCain is the "aggressor" for attack ads

I don't doubt that the Obama campaign has responded in-kind for what the McCain campaign has been doing since the beginning, but even CBS has admitted that McCain has been the aggressor and some news outlets have decried McCain's ability to "drive the news cycle." I would be interested to see a tally of all ads run by either campaign and an objective characterization of what the ads had to say. It doesn't help the facts, either, that McCain claims that Obama is going raise taxes for everyone--something that has been debunked as an attack ad by more than one source--at each campaign stop. The old "repeat the Big Lie often enough and it gets accepted as truth". I'm not defending Obama as a good candidate, but it is small wonder many people, like me, are looking at third options for president. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?
