Today's government is spending more money than ever and its putting America into a whirlwind of debt. The county becomes more vulnerable to other countries like China and it puts the security and safety of the American people at risk. Our congress doesn't seem to be in touch with what the people need or want. They continually pass legislation that adds more cost to our daily lives. They have put our country into a economic mess with their dabbling in things they don't belong in and trying to spend their way out of to appease Americans. How many people watch the news each day to hear the newest controversy that is erupting? I think that most Americans bury their head in the sand, they don't want to worry and think about what is going on in our government. People need to take a closer look at our congress and see what they are involved in and what legislation is passing. Just recently the House passed the Cap and Trade bill and most of them didn't even read all of it. Not to mention adding a 300 page amendment at 3:00 a.m to sneak it through. This is reprehensible and atrocious behavior and the people of the United States are not being represented. It is time for the people to demand term limits for our congress. They should not be allowed to continually stay in their position of power getting more and more corrupt by the day. The people of America would do better voting in new people every couple of years to allow true representation. It's time for changes in our government and time for all people both conservative and liberal to work together to make a better America for all.
