The Daily Gallup must be lagging behind. The Gallup poll still has Obama up 49-42.

Obama tends to run higher in the CBS poll standings consistently. Not any more. According to this poll now the race is tied at 42 percent each.

CBS's telephone poll included 734 registered voters and had a sampling error of plus or minus four percentage points.

Polls are a snapshot at a given moment. Obama had a bounce after the Dems' convention. The latest poll was taken during the GOP convention, when they were in the news.

I think more meaningful poll numbers will come in a week or two when the convention excitement from both conventions has died down.

Also, that article says, "Other polls have failed to show the same tightening of the race found by CBS."

And does the polling including moose, or just humans?
