Ponting's second innings would have taken him a step closer to bridging the gap between him and Sachin in terms of number of centuries. As a true lover of cricket, I would have loved it. But with passing years, I have become a fanatic of a religion called cricket. I called up my dad and said "Good News Dad, Ponting could not make it to the 100s."
