Porter Wagoner, Country Music Legend, Dies at Age 80

Porter Wagoner, "The King of Country Gospel," was one of the giants of country music. In 1967 he started championing a young singer named Dolly Parton, choosing her as his duet partner. The two collaborated many times over the years, in concert and on record.

Porter Wagoner won four Grammy awards, three of which were for gospel.

He was inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame in 2002.
