The Positions of The Planets in October 1965: Some Guidance, Instructions and Practice Exercises for Novice Astrologers

We have published this short article, one of a series* of links to all the months of 1965, to be an easily found online resource for anyone enquiring about the “positions of the planets in October (or any other month in) 1965”. Our intention is to stimulate the study of Astrology among more people – and we felt there was need for signposting to this free facility for those looking for particular planetary information.

In addition to the LINK TO THE PLANETS’ POSITIONS in October 1965 HERE we have written some instructions for those wishing to do some Astrological Research for the first time. These are written to be used alongside this ephemeris. They are not meant to be comprehensive but merely to give a flavour of the possibilities for this captivating study.

Instructions for Novices using this Ephemeris

This Ephemeris, you will see, is divided by columns – each according to the planet they represent. From left to right the columns, we mostly use are:

1st = Sun (Essential Personality); 2nd = Moon (Native’s Subconscious Mind); 4th = Mercury (Native’s Thought Process); 5th = Venus (Relationships and the Way the Native Loves); 6th = Mars (Matters Relating to the Native’s Sexuality)

How can Amateur Astrologers Use this Ephemeris?

Once you know the position of yours or others planets, in the sky, on the day they were born, you can research what each planet’s position means or illustrates about you or the individual/s whom interest you.

SUGGESTED EXERCISE FOR ASTROLOGY NOVICES 1
For example, you may wish to consider the position of Venus. For an idea of how Venus positions can influence its natives see our Article Venus Between the Sheet HERE

SUGGESTED EXERCISE FOR ASTROLOGY NOVICES 2
Another interesting exercise is to look at celebrities. Many celebrities have details of their birthdays published. This is all the information you need to do quick analyses (with practice) once you have learnt about the planets and the different signs of the Zodiac. See links to two examples of Popular Celebrity Profiles we have published on Cheryl Cole and Lucy Pinder following these instructions below:

CHERYL COLE

LUCY PINDER

ABOUT THE COLE AND PINDER ARTICLES (Links Above):
These articles are just for fun and claim no actual knowledge of either celebrity. To do a proper Horoscope (in our opinion) you need to know – first hand and not through press reports – the person you are studying. Also, to have any hope of being completely accurate you must take into account all the planets and the angles they form with one another, the native’s ascendant and the exact position of the planets. To calculate the latter you will need the native’s exact time of birth and exact location of birth.

*The full series will eventually cover all months in all years (from 1955 – present) and ad hoc years of interest from history.

**The Ephemeris (linked above) is an excellent resource for those who study Astrology or would like to start doing so. If you start using this free resource regularly, please make a donation to the upkeep of the site via its homepage.

@XomBa Moderator-AndAnotherThing2--Awesome, Jeremy!

'Unique summaries' are pretty much 'what Xomblurbs are.' Xombytes are 'the writings of Xombies ... inspired by one- or many other things, but they are not 'blogs' in the Digg/Technorati/Squdoo-sense.' As for the 'where most traffic comes from,' you're right. Most of it comes from people on search-engines looking for the subjects about which are written ... but the "Recent Xombytes" are within EVERY page on Xomba; they're part of 'how Xomba looks,' they say, 'this is what else we're discussing.' I'd rather see Xomba 'looking like' we're a lot of different people writing than 'looking like' we're "all about 'one writer's stuff'." Of course, sometimes 'one thing' will inspire a large group of people and Xomba will 'look like' we're all about that (because, at the time, we WILL be). ---Join Us Professional Friends who GET MONEY for Echoing the Universe: 'Too Loud?' Astrology Posts

They will be allowed, with unique summaries, but as Xomblurbs instead of Xombytes.

UPDATE: I have agreed a way forward with this with Xomba and Xomba Moderator said they'd comment here. I think it pertinent to make this point now re the comment by the friendly Viking above: Most unique visitors on the site (in my understanding) are here reading articles which have attracted them via their results in a Google search. They are not on the front page, waiting to read the next Xombyte which happens along that might be of interest. Good articles have good, relevant titles, and rank high in searches - that's how big reads are attracted - not by being on the front page for ten or less minutes. If that were the case you'd be depending on the relatively few readers on the front page at the moment for reads. BAD PLAN! That's only my opinion as I've mot savvy to the stats. Where do you think most of the traffic comes from? Xomba is now a PR4 so that helps too...

See your point but...

once they are published they'll be a useful ongoing resource. I chose to ignore his point believing this to be the case but I'm currently discussing these matters with Xomba and will (if agreed with them) update here. I can see why this is touchy, given the new rules but still believe this is the exception proving that rule - but hey - I've been wrong in the past... As to my words in defence of "mass production" and by implication all of us who work for its means (tee hee) plus my clever complex cusp comment - they stand! Thanks for your comment though (and the original comment - I suppose) as it has given the opportunity of furthering this debate. AndAnotherThing2

The point is

he point is that you're clogging up the recent xombytes column making articles by other users less visible and it makes xomba look "spammy" to other visitors

Mass Production Values

Mass information values in this case. Plus, people who are interested in Astrology according to my qualitative reseacrh - aften put a term like "positions of planets + YEAR and MONTH they are interested in - only to come across a variety of articles that in no way help them - many beginners in Astrology don't know the term "ephemeris" for instance - why should they? Also, the links to my Xombytes in the articles - re Lucy Pinder and Cheryl Cole are 100% original Astrology - something completely lacking on the web - where it is sterile and hedges its bets. You've been a member here longer than me but my understanding of the community aspects of this site and community is that one replies to whom one wishes to reply to, when and if they have time or when and if they find the comment warrants a reply. (ie That members chose their own criteria for replying.) That said, I haven't seen the comments on the aforementioned Xombytes. If, as I suspect they are from you, concerning your "complex-cusp" personality, I will not be commenting on them. You answer all your own questions amply without my assistance. Don't knock mass production either not until you understand what you are knocking - consumers depend on mass prodcution workers - people who do boring repetitive jobs are essential.

I Know It Goes against Mass-Production Values They Teach You...

... take a breath while other Xombies get a couple discussions in? Or are the differences between 10/65-astrology and 9/65-astrology so urgent that you can't? ---Join Us Professional Friends who GET MONEY for Echoing the Universe: 'Bella?' 'Bob?' 'Huh?' 'Wowza!'
