Power of Connection
posted August 3, 2009 - 2:24pmHere's a question for you, do you know how powerful the word connection truly is? For some reason this word has been popping up in my mind for the last few days, so, I started thinking about it and that is when I realized what a powerful word "connection" is.
This word is a part of human relationships, electricity, logic, grammar, spirituality, transportation, and our bodies, to name a few. Without this word in being, our bodies as well as the world would come to a screeching halt. Think about it.
Humans need to connect; it is a scientific proven fact that if humans do not connect with other humans, they become deprived of the will to live and waste away. I do not remember when the study was performed or where, but I remember they had babies, one they coddled, talked to, loved, played with and the other they only fed, changed diapers and provided basic life needs. The baby that received the human connection thrived in weight gain and development, the baby that only received basic life needs to stay alive, was lacking in weight gain and development. It was this study that proved humans need human connections for a thriving and fulfilling life.
School House Rock had the most famous song and video (in my opinion) to explain the importance of connections in grammar as well as other things I have mentioned. I'll let them explain and show you how it all works…
In spirituality, it is written many times in many different ways, connect with the Spirit, connect with nature, connect with the universal energies, connect, connect and again connect. We connect memories with emotions and emotions with memories; we connect every aspect of our life with something. Work connects to paycheck, paycheck connects to money, money connects to bills and "toys", etc. So, if you haven't thought of the power of connection before, I bet you are thinking of it now. I know I am.
“In nature we never see anything isolated, but everything in connection with something else which is before it, beside it, under it and over it.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Connection
Thanks rawnak. Even though I wrote this and am aware of the word, the power of the word connection in being amazes me.
Just one of those things that make you go 'huh' I guess. : )
