Pregnant Women with Diabetic Doubles

Women with pre existing Diabetes doubles. According to associated press, the number of pregnant women with pre existing diabetes has more than doubled in the last seven years. This was a result of a study conducted in California.
This trend seems to create trouble since it is both a health risk for both the mother and newborns.

The study also showed that the number of diabetic teenagers giving birth grew fivefold during the same period.
Mothers who don’t control their diabetes will likely increased the risk of miscarriage and stillbirth, this also means that the babies will have a higher chance of being born with defects.

The study was focused on the health records of more than 175,000 ethnically diverse women who gave birth in Southern California hospitals. This seems to reflect the over all population in the United States according to experts.
