President Barack Obama addressed the United Nations at a meeting of the General Assembly in New York City on September 23, 2009. This was President Obama's first speech to the General Assembly since taking office. Obama discussed nuclear proliferation, nbsp;peace, climate change and global growth during the course of his speech. Obama also sent a stern message to other countries, stating "Make no mistake: this cannot solely be America's endeavor.
