President Ford's Attempted Assassin Released From Prison

Sarah Jane Moore, the failed assassin who had set out to shoot President Gerald Ford was released on parole yesterday. She attempted the assassination in San Francisco's St. Francis Hotel on Sept. 22, 1975. She was standing 40 feet away from the president when she pulled the trigger firing one shot from a .38-caliber revolver.
