President Musharraf to Resign and Leave Pakistan: Breaking News

Pakistan President Musharraf may resign from his post and leave the country for the Saudi Arab, today afternoon, according to the breaking news reports on TV.

President Musharraf will give a speech and address the nation live on TV at 12.30PM IST today, is the news that is circulating the various news chanels on TV. His plane is ready and on standby at the Rawalpindi airport, according to Geo TV, from where it is said that he will leave Pakistan for good.

If President Musharraf fails to resign for any reason, today, as is being rumored by the news reports, then he would have to face the impeachment charges that the ruling party has against him.

Thus the political instability of Pakistan continues. There are also reports coming in that the Government is not going to allow the live telecast of Musharraf's address on the TV.

Let's all wait and watch to see what happens next!

Latest Update: President Musharraf has finally resigned from the post and has bid farewell to Pakistan in his address to the nation that was aired live from Islamabad on TV news channels.

thanks taprial for the comment. There were news reports a few days back wherein Musharraf apparently claimed to be still in Pakistan and was not going anywhere. Nobody knows the truth. Are they deliberately hiding the truth? I wonder.
