Prisoners Escape Using Nail Clippers - Where Did they Get Them?
posted March 15, 2009 - 4:40pmSix Canadian prisoners escaped from a jail using nail clippers according to a Reuter's report. The prisoners, four of whom were charged with murder, managed to escape from a Canadian jail while awaiting trial.
Escapes are common regardless of the counry in which the escape occurs. My problem with this story is how these six managed to do so using nail clippers.
I'm certain they did not buy the clippers from Walmart. I buy my clippers from Walmart and I am lucky if the clippers manage to cut through my nails cleanly. There is no way any clipper I ever bought could cut through anything.
The story goes on to state that it took the prisoners four months to complete their escape. That's about the same length of time it takes me to cut all of nails.
I think the Canadian police should interrogate the escapees thoroughly: Not so much on how they escaped but on where those clippers were purchased. Any nail clipper which will cut through steel should be banned much like automatic weapons.
Look for a new ban by the Canadian Government on steel cutting clippers.
