PS3 and wii? What?

Yesterday I was reading that the new PS3 comes out this week and the Nintendo wii comes out next. There was this long story comaparing the two and which was better for what and who. I realized about 4 sentences into the piece that I am offically an old F**k. Not because the games have long since past me by, because that happen years ago, but because I could not care less. I don't care about about these new systems or what they can do. I was mildly interested that the Sony could play the new Blu Ray HD DVD but the price of $599 seemed a little high for a DVD player. And a $100 per game? Yeah right, kiss my a** Sony! For some unknown reason they made them compatable with old games as well. Can you even buy these games anymore? Or are they for the losers who still have these games sitting around? Why not just buy an old PS1 at a Pawn Shop or a Flea Market and save yourself about $550?

Anyway the last time I was into playing video games was during the very finite Sega years. I still fondly remember buying one of the first DVD/CD games. I forget what it was called but you had to buy an adapter to play it and it starred Dana Plato! Some kind of henchmen invading her home and you had to save her from getting killed. After a couple of times playing it you could easily figure out the pattern and then it was only cool to watch Plato die. I also had a EA hockey game that me and my roommates played endlessly. As a matter of fact it is the same game that Vince Vaughn is playing in Swingers. Since this golden era of gaming for me I have found more useful endevours like women and watching the grass grow. Actually the women thing hasn't worked out too well since I have divorced twice. Hmmmmm. What games can I get with that wii again?

I thought that was

I thought that was the Gary Coleman conspiracy. Had to keep Plato and Bridges down so Gary can rise up!

Dana Plato Conspiracy

Did anybody else hear the conspiracy surrounding the death of Dana Plato? The government apparently did it. And ABC was involved so that Todd Bridges could be on "Skating with the Stars." Or was it FOX?

Night Trap!

Yeah that's it - crummy game but neat for the plato factor and that it was one of the first cd games - Thanks! Da Man

Night Trap

The game was called Night Trap on Sega CD. Dana Plato killed herself by overdose in 1999. Night Trap was regarded as the most violent game at the time (along with Mortal Kombat). Just some useless information I'm throwing at you.

I had Sega CD as well. DAMN

I had Sega CD as well. DAMN that thing was slow. Only game I remember was a Sherlock Holmes one. "Thank you for driving carefully through the villiage." That's what the sign says.

I loved that game

I loved that Plato game. The acting was soooo bad. I played it alot but I can't remember the name either - sorry. D
