Radio Station Throwing Bash to Destroy Chris Brown CDs and Posters
posted February 12, 2009 - 12:47amRihanna fans are angry over the singer's beating by boyfriend Chris Brown. Lots of people are angry about the way ex-lovers have treated them. And single people are either sad or bummed out about having to endure yet another Valentine's Day of seeing happy luvvy-duvvy couples parading around.
Now Long Island radio station WBLI is channeling those strong emotions into a "Shred Your Ex" bash to destroy Chris Brown CDs and parties.
A notice on WBLI's Web site (see link above) says it expects "thousands" of people to attend the pre-Valentine's event Friday, February 13th at the station's headquarters in West Babylon, Long Island.
"Join Rihanna's Side Or If You're Unlucky In Love! Then Shred Your Ex Right Before Valentine's Day In Nationwide Protest!!!," the notice reads in part. WBLI says it has invited members of Rihanna's fan club and other supporters of the singer to show their allegiance to Rihanna, their displeasure with Brown, or just their disgust with an ex or exes. WBLI says it "wants to bring America together for a common cause."
Did I mention that all this is taking place on Friday the 13th? Man, this could get real ugly...
