Raikkonen wins Chinese GP
posted October 7, 2007 - 8:10amKimi Raikkonen of Ferrari won the Chinese Formula One Grand Prix on Sunday as McLaren's Lewis Hamilton missed his chance to clinch the drivers' title by running off the track while entering the pits.
Fernando Alonso of McLaren was second with Felipe Massa of Ferrari third.
The championship will now go down to the final race in Brazil on October 21 with three drivers capable of winning the title. It will be the first time since 1986 that three drivers have a chance to take the title in the last race.
Hamilton has 107 points, Alonso has 103 and Raikkonen 100. A win is worth 10 points. Second through eight at 8-6-5-4-3-2-1.
It was the fifth win of the season for Raikkonen. Alonso and Hamilton have four each. If there is a tie, the number of victories will break the tie. After that, the number of seconds will be counted.
