Raksha Bandhan - Traditions and Customs

Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu festival which has its own unique traditions and customs attached to it. In this festival the sisters tie a sacred thread called the Rakhi, to the wrist of the brother who in turn takes a solemn oath to protect his sister forever.
