Raymond's Wish II

Raymond's Wish II

(This was written shortly after my dad died of Alzheimer's Disease (1-21-08)

Please do not cry for me, as I will be the light

Even though you won't see me I will be forever by your side.

Do not mourn for me, for I will be one with he sun

Do not weep in my memory once my new journey has begun

Do not look upon me with grief, for I will be the flowers outside

Do remember me with the twinkle in my eye

Do remember me when you look up at the sky

Do think of me as the warm breeze upon your face

Do think of me, as I will one day be at rest

Do know that God knows what is best

Do know that I will again remember you all

And I will once again walk and talk after all

Please do not think that you will be alone

I will remain with you always

Until it is your turn to join me at Home.

Alzheimer's Rememberance

Thanks so much for your comment. I have written many poems on my experiences with witnessing what my dad went through..and it was horrible. Writing has helped me cope with my grief, and I hope it can help others who are going through the same thing. Marsha

A great memorial

Such nice sentiments of one who suffered the ravages of alzheimers. Beautiful rememberance!
