You can find links below to the text of the bailout bill and to a summary of the bill, which is formally known as the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.
The House Financial Services Committee (Web site: www.financialservices.house.gov), chaired by Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts, addresses issues relating to banks and banking, insurance, securities, economic stabilization, and international finance.
