Reality of School
posted December 2, 2007 - 2:15pmHey,
I know I haven't updated in a little while. I get my car back yesterday. It's all dent free. It still has the little scratch on the driver's side from when I babysat in the summer and the kids got a little too close, but that happens. It's
not too bad at all, it's near the hood.
I took my first quiz today in Lit 241. It was on Franklin's Autobiography. I failed it. :^( At least, I know how to read and prepare next time. Although, this was a pop, but I can read better next time and be better prepared. It was only seven questions, so it won't kill my grade. I do have a paper due in the class in a week or so. I have to look at my planner. (I'd be lost without my planner. I use to go without one, but now I don't know what I'd do) Lots of due dates.
On the topic of my planner, I'd be lost without it also, because I have to plan my time very carefully. I work two jobs and a full time student. Right now I babysit about 6 hours a week. I also work at a gas station about 18 to 20+ hours. My hours will also in crease. I told my manager that I can work a few nights. That will increase my nights, but I will also have less time for sleep and homework. I so have a good size break between classes to work. The nights will most likely be on the weekends. I also have classes later in the morning that I can nap after work if I have to work a night in the middle of the week. My manager does know that I'm a student so she won't over schedule me. I'll have to just plan very carefully.
I know I have to be careful how many hours I work and I won't put work over my school work, but with current circumstances I have to work as much as I can. I have a lot to pay for and little money to do it with. I am thinking about getting a student loan to help get some of my debt and bills paid off to help have some money in the bank. It'd be a small loan, but right now I have to have a cosigner, and I'm having trouble finding one. I hate asking people to do it. I've also been rejected once or twice. For now, I'm going to work hard and save. I also have to wait for my paychecks. At work, they change the way we get paid. It's direct deposit, but they didn't tell me and now I'm waiting for the check. It was suppose to be sent last Friday. I still don't have it. I'm also supposed to get paid this Friday. (We're paid weekly.)
Well, I'd love to talk more, but it's late and I work tomorrow at two. Also, my friend, who was my roommate last semester, is coming down. I'll talk to you all later.
