Use spices to enhance flavor in dishes like curried lentils with brown rice or accompanied by spicy black bean soup with corn bread or corn tortillas. Adds the final touch to the menu with a salad or some fruit of the season and will have a highly nutritious food.

Avoid fast food
A protein shake mixed with milk or soy milk and fresh or frozen fruit, it offers a more complete nutrition at a lower cost than some fast food options, while still providing convenience and nutritional value.

Freeze Station
Frozen fruits and vegetables have the same nutritional value and in some cases, freezing can preserve higher nutrients because the foods are processed almost immediately after harvest. Purchase in the markets for fruit and vegetables in season.

Frozen meals are practical, but can be costly
Even when they can represent a good option these foods are not a complete meal unless you add a salad or vegetable or fruit which ultimately increases the cost of the meal. In their place, large quantities of cooking foods like soups, pasta dishes and congélalos or in individual portions for lunch and to work.

With a little planning and a detailed selection of foods, you can take care of the budget and maintain a healthy and balanced nutrition.
