I am aprehensive to draw myself back
inside these words.
Their source has been so maddening;
Their triumphant trail traced in blood;
Tell me...
Should I tear open these woulds I
fought so diligently to heal?
Should I conjure up my imaginary
loves and relive their mortal pain?
Should I rehash the quilt of my
innocent youth; chase its ghost
out of hiding to haunt me a while?
It's too late now...
