The veil from your dreams
pulls away, like tide, recedes--
spindlefish, seaweed.

Seaweed-wrapped dreams caress her
wounds from days too long in sun.

Smooth the sear over
your heart. Beets, banana squash
wait for your strong hands.

Cherry tomatoes color
cropped land, the earth rich with pulp.< p>
