Many people at some point in their lives find themselves in a bad credit situation, if you have bad credit, it can be difficult to get loans,bank accounts and even simply getting a contract mobile phone can be a problem. However there are ways that you can repair your own credit, never go to these so called credit repair companies that ask you for money to fix your credit it rarely ever works. Take note that if you have ccjs and defaults that you still have not paid off this will not work for you. You must have paid off your debts first, the thing is with the credit system once you have paid your debts it can still take up to 6 years before you will see your credit score rise. This is a good way of improving your score pretty quickly and without entrusting a company to do it for you.

First thing you should do is go to one bank and say you want to open a basic savings account, pay in $500 or £500 whatever your currency wait a few weeks and go to your bank and say you want a loan of the same amount in your bank account and that you will use the £500 as security to back up the loan. More often than none the bank will give you the loan as you have the money in your account to match it,if you have more money then use that even have your wages paid into that account for a few weeks. Then when you get the loan take that £500 and do the same thing at another bank, in the meantime pay off your previous loan with the £500 you had in the bank do it within a couple of weeks.  When you get the other loan from the other bank then pay it back within a couple of weeks and do it again. You should do it about 3 times within about a 3 month period and you should see your credit rating begin to rise. Then once you have done this apply for a credit card a low credit rating one like capital one you should be accepted, if you get accepted use the credit card only a couple of times, pay for something small and pay it back straight away without them asking you to do so, pay for something small again and pay it back straight away. Your credit file should now be looking healthy. Now use your good credit rating wisely, i.e to get a mortgage not to buy clothes from a catalogue.
