Republican Candidate Duncan Hunter: I Will Build the Fence, Crime Will Drop in Every State

This article is an interview with 2008 presidential candidate Duncan Hunter. In the interview, he states that if he is elected president, the border fence with Mexico will be built and that upon completion, crime rates will fall in every state.

Congressman Hunter, who is from California, makes this statement based on the fact that he was responsible for the border fencing that currently exists in San Diego County and that after the fence was completed and illegal immigration drastically reduced, crime dropped 50% in San Diego.

"When we built that border fence the crime rate in the city of San Diego dropped by 50 percent. I think the crime rate will drop in every state of the union upon completion of the border fence."
