Jokes, Republicans, Bush, and the American Auto industry. Connections.

These are items of humor, these are things to think about -- a few things to "consider" as you try to make ends meet and wonder why this economy destroyed your investments and possibly your future. Will you have a job by early next year? Can you pay your mortgage or rent without a job?

Some of you will not get the humor here, but I really hope you do.

Today the Bush minions try to ease rules that protect wildlife. Obama can reverse all of the last-minute executive orders. And many of the Bush regime's regulatory orders can be undone because they were not issued according to law.

But, the art of the last insult game continues. Most American's may not even see the insult. That is why you should "consider" what is happening,

We should hold this terrible person and his minions and lackeys accountable for more than what we did for Nixon. Oh, you say. It does no good to punish the President for his actions. It embarrasses the country. You think he is above the law? What if there were personal consequences for your actions; what if the President was mortal? The "easing" of wildlife protections has other implications from the minds of these same Bush people. This is similar to the Republican plan to torture. John McCain talked about it, then caved in. Hey, they are just "animals." Wildlife and human enemy combatants -- what's the difference? Think about it. Be a Republican for a moment; not an Abe Lincoln Republican, but an American Enterprise Hospital Republican. (Yes. They have an institute, and you can be an inmate there. Imagine being institutionalized at that hospital. They talk torture in circles for therapy. They also watch packing house videos where animals that are sick are mixed in with the healthy to make burgers. Of course, the torture is by shock stick, like taser, or by fork lift. The Republican way seems to make food out of the sick and therefore, a profit.)

The future of the GM Volt? Well, America's manufacturing future and that of the Volt is endangered by Lame Duck Bush, Alabama senators and congressmen and foreign Auto makers, How does that happen? Well, the foreign auto companies health care costs in their native countries are subsidized or completely paid for by their sponsor governments. It reminds me of the Airbus subsidies in Europe -- where government loans and special packages were made available to grow the enterprise into a mature industry. Airbus now sells more commercial planes than Boeing -- but the government subsidies have not stopped. The same is true for every foreign made or designed product sold in the United States.

No one in the span of the existence of the United States has done more damage to America's survival and future than the George Bush I and II family, and team. Scammers all. The Republican reason for denying the auto bailout is to "protect" the interests of the American Taxpayer. Detroit is not viable? If one could keep the gasoline out of Detroit, there is a real chance the auto industry will turn itself around -- especially with the removal of Dingell from the committee chairmanship. I happen to favor the approach to the bailout that is being pursued -- but the jobs have to be protected so food and mortgage payments can be made. The Bush bunch has a lurid history.

The recent Bush family corrupted dealings go back to the moral and financial support for Nazi Germany and handling their funds, some of these funds stolen by the Nazi's from the victims of the Holocaust in WWII, and then continued manipulation of financial opportunities and financial system through new financial laws, like the savings and loan scandals of Neil Bush and Silverado in Colorado, or the Marvin Bush role in the "security" set up which helped demolish the WTC towers after the 911 attack. When the truth is known, who will we prosecute? Has any steel building structure in the world been so demolished without the setting of demolition explosives? (Who is involved? Many are involved. But it is cellular in structure. Rudy G, of course is involved and the evidence has been dumped in the ocean. But you are too smart for that aren't you. You wouldn't believe the engineers and the designers of the structure.)

Think about the damage caused by the Bush Group and helpers when they manufactured some lies about weapons and used our military to invade Iraq. Then these folks used no-bid to steal from our nation and to reward old friends. Skim and scam and torture. Ignore the Constitution. Further damage to America comes in the form of the collapse of the economy, which in no small part has its roots in the last eight Bush years.

The Automobile "Bailout," characterized by $100 billion for AIG and NOTHING for Democratic Detroit. Or the millions of people in the American automotive jobs chain? We will see if the Democratic plan brings fruit.

The U.S. Department of Energy, DOE, (used as a Bush and Corporate tool to mis-inform America on the dangers of Global Warming to shore up the future use of Fossil Fuels (petroleum, coal, shale, natural gas) is withholding the congressionally approved sum of some $25 billion dollars for the re-tooling of the American automobile makers -- saying that the money was not going to be provided since these businesses had not proven to be "viable" American businesses. (I grant that the CEO's have catered to the petroleum industry -- been "used" by them in the attempt to force Americans to increase petroleum consumption and oil company profits -- and that these CEO's need to be fully excised -- even for the dollar a year salary. Remember Michael Moore's "Roger and Me?")

You might be able to hook into the loans or the grants. For example -- you method of going from solar energy to hydrogen production from water as a component of the future hydrogen fuel economy.

It might get you a grant. You might have to "work" for it. You know, get money to work on your ideas.

But make no mistake: The Bush DOE government executives and the departmental effort is to keep imported petroleum as the main fuel of American Auto's -- the main fuel for transportation.

The Republican's want your vote to keep American's subservient to the foreign oil supply and their profits. Realize that Oklahoma's Senator Inhofe is simply a petroleum tool based in Oklahoma but funded by Oil of many nations looking for ways to continue oil sales to America.

Yeah. No doubt about it. We have a planetary (global) emergency. Only part of it is economic. The real emergency is cutting the emissions of Fossil Fuel derived CO2,

Folks. Getting back to 350 ppmv CO2 is a wondrous goal -- BUT we need to take it down to 300 ppmv CO2 or less to keep from destroying much or most of the earth's animal and plant life (ppmv = parts per million by volume).

Sequestrations -- you will hear about Carbon removal and sequestration -- and about CO2 emission removal and CO2 sequestration. These two sequestrations are related, but different.The sequestration of Carbon means extraction of the Carbon from CO2 and its removal from the environment. The Sequestration of CO2 means the removal of CO2 emissions from energy production and its sequestration in gaseous, liquid, or solid form so that it does not continue to act as a Green House Gas -- contributing as a blanket in the air that slow-cooks earth life to extinction. Below I will emphasize them.

Carbon Sequestration and Carbon dioxide Sequestration.

Carbon (C) sequestration/removal from CO2 in the air is done by earth's plants. This has been done for many hundreds of millions of years. Recently, during the "Carboniferous" ("Carbon Rock" era when/where most of the coal was formed), plants removed CO2 from earth's atmospheric CO2 endowment -- and released O2 in such quantities that there was once 30% O2 (oxygen) as atmospheric component. (O2 now is about 21% of our air). Plants did that! At 30% O2, fires were very easy, if you had a plant to burn, and a spark, volcano or some friction to start it. (This is long before people existed.)

Carbon dioxide (CO2) sequestration is like taking the CO2 from the air by compression and cooling, say to make dry ice -- or by capturing the CO2 product of combustion of such things as Coal, Oil, wood, and, say, combining the gas with other molecules elements and compounds to end with such things calcium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, and other molecular carbon combinations.

Plants can do the carbon removal on an industrial scale using solar energy.

Mankind, using fossil fuels of all kinds, has exceeded the capability of plants to remove the excess Carbon from the CO2 in the air so the growing proportion of CO2 just hangs around -- much longer. We know how to remove and sequester the CO2 gas, but it is expensive in energy terms. That is a problem we humans will have to solve, globally together, to survive as a species.

Continued use of Fossil Fuels, (Oil, Tar, Coal) insures our extinction, as well as killing most if not all of the large mammals on land and in the sea -- by killing all major plant sources of food. When the plants die, we all die.

Natural Gas; CH4, Mostly Methane. A few words about Natural gas as a fuel.

Natural Gas is mostly methane, CH4; and methane is a potent and dangerous Green House Gas. Right now we are warming the ocean and the Siberian and North American tundra which will eventually (soon) release methane in copious quantities.

Pure methane in the air is a more powerful Green House Gas than CO2 -- but naturally, it combines more rapidly with available oxygen and ozone and does not last as long in the air as CO2. It burns to produce CO2 and H20.

It is being marketed as a clean alternative to Coal. However the emission of CO2 is the problem. Don't be fooled. Natural gas produces CO2 -- which is what we need to reduce. But, if we can figure out how to massively remove CO2, using methane to power it -- great -- otherwise global warming will soon release dangerous and vast quantities of the very potent Green House Gas.

Detroit can build more efficient transportation -- but Bush, the Republicans, and their corporate oil and coal owners have thwarted and insulted America again. They want you to burn oil. At $150 a barrel instead of the nearly $50 we see now.

Detroit needs new leadership. GM, Ford and Chrysler need a hand -- not a handout -- and don't think you will get the AIG money back. But through manufacturing something physical that is tangible we will.

The Senate vote was canceled, but the onus is now on the auto makers. (Yeah. The gallows reference I removed.)

America needs to save its manufacturing, not import foreign schemes to market foreign products on American soil for the globalization goal. Were trade free, I'd say sure, but there is no free trade between states external to the United States. If we can unload the corporate influence of Oil and Coal and the idea of "Globalization by Corporations" we might eventually reach global unity and equity for the species. Are you not good enough to be equal? Global unity? Soon, but not at the price of America's destruction at the hands of the Bush Chaney and the Republican team as their final insult to the United States, using America for their corporate greed and money goals.

Lincoln would not recognize the Republican Party, now -- and I bet most American's know that if they know anything at all.

Hope you have a job. Or some income that has not been devalued. Maybe we need to take apart both corporations and the old money banking cartels at the same time. You know. "Real" Globalization.
