Republican's Birth Control Pill: Sarah Palin

Republican's Birth Control Pill: Sarah Palin

Not only is Sarah Palin the Republican's "morning-after pill" against the democrats, she may be their total contraceptive remedy!

While they (Republicans) called Michelle Obama "The Angry Black Woman" the Republicans can claim that Sarah Palin as their "White Sardonic Shrew!"

She herself said "The difference between hockey moms and pit bulls is the lipstick." Most people know that you can never be angrier than a raging pit-bull wearing cover girl lipstick. Let's hope she is wearing Halley Berry's "No Smudge" lipstick.

This first term Governor of Alaska, who was once said to be a "no shrinking violet" when she played for her HS basketball team, never saw the need or importance of getting her passport until just a year ago (at age 43), who also was heard saying that she had never been out of the State of Alaska, drew out a sword and "sliced and diced" away at her enemy (Obama). This woman of small stature has a razor like tough tongue and makes you wonder what she would do or say as a mother during one of those hockey games or PTA meetings.

In an hour, Senator McCain will take centerstage and if I were the Senator I should not worry about trying to top Barack Obama's speech, rather he should worry that he comes close in "tone and pitch" to his own Vice Presidential nominee's speech and hopes that he does a bit better than mediocre in front of the millions of people watching tonight! McCain is not known to have the best in oratory skills, but he can rise to a challenge when faced with one.and tonight will be the night for him to meet that challenge.

The 1st term Governor of Alaska questioned Barack Obama's executive experience, or the lack thereof. To put it bluntly, she said "Being a governor is like being a community organizer.only it has more responsibilities." Hmmm.I would love to hear from some of those so-called "community organizers" in her state.just to get their views on how they felt about the way she described their jobs.

Just for the record.while the Republicans are so busy going after Barack Obama's credentials and his experience to lead the country, I would like to refresh everyone's memory. Senator Barack Obama is a constitutional lawyer. That means he knows the U.S. Constitution. He knows the Law. Obama taught constitutional law at the University Of Chicago Law School for twelve years. Oh by the way, he was a civil rights lawyer too. Should anyone wonder about his organizational skills, just look at how brilliantly he ran his campaign. He started with surrounding himself with the likes of David Axelrod, Robert Gibbs, Valerie Jarrett, and a group of outstanding staff and eager volunteers. He was found at fault many times for being too efficient and too controlling. His brilliant campaign manager, David Plouffe, and the BarackObama.com website showed the world that with the right tools and the right intentions, the internet can be extremely effective in reaching out and connecting to anyone and everyone.

This junior senator (the one they are calling inexperience) took a bus from one small town to another.rolling up his sleeves and knocking on every door he saw, eating at local diners, speaking at local churches and schools, and meeting and greeting everyday working Americans and business owners. By the way.Obama knows how much the cost of gas is because he fills his own gas tank. He (not the secret service) pays for his own coffee with his own money. This is the same person who Republicans have been calling an "elitist" - a person who despises people or things regarded as inferior, especially because of social or intellectual pretension or having the belief that certain persons or members of certain classes or groups deserve favored treatment by virtue of their perceived superiority, as in intellect, social status, or financial resources.

Obama took "grass roots" campaigning to another level and made it work with unremarkable precision. And it is still working for him. His campaign staff has carefully and painstakingly looked at every local municipality of every state and territory of the electoral map and came up with a game plan that shocked skeptics, seasoned politicians, and pundits alike. The primaries have made Barack Obama a better candidate. Obama has continuously tried to show by example how to run a campaign on issues without lowering himself to using tactics that cut at a person's soul, beliefs, and character. For the most part, he has managed to keep his campaign positive.

All during the primaries and even up to now, Obama's "lack of experience" to be president has been the center of debate. However, Senator McCain's experience of 20 years in the U.S Senate and having fought in a war does not truly qualify him to be president either. In fact, neither one of the candidates or their running mates can claim to have any real "presidential experience" because none of them has ever been President of the United States.

David Von Drehle, of Time Magazine, wrote an article entitled "Does Experience Matter in a President." The following is an excerpt from the 2008 March issue:

"There's something egglike about the concept of experience as a qualification for the highest office. At first blush, the idea appears to be something you can get your hands around. Presidential experience means a familiarity with the levers and dials of government, knowing how to cajole the Congress, understanding when to rely on the Joint Chiefs of Staff and when to call on the National Security Council - that sort of thing. But bear down even slightly, and the notion of experience is liable to crack and run all over. If knowing the system is so useful, then second-term presidencies should be more successful than first-term. Instead, many Presidents lose effectiveness as they go along. Lyndon Johnson, for example: his experience as a master legislator no doubt helped as he steered his historic civil rights and welfare agenda to passage. By the end of two years as President, however, "he was out of gas," recalls Johnson aide Harry McPherson. The longer Johnson was in the Oval Office, the more feckless his presidency became. "

Last night while in the 18,064 seating capacity of the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, Republican heard some of their own political rhetoric.rhetoric of mockery, sarcasm, condescension, insults, and a subtle tone that seemed to be full of bitterness and hate. The five foot plus Governor of Alaska bashed away at the character of a humble man, while a republican filled arena cheered and jeered her on. So what does that say about republicans? Does Palin's speech reflect the character and soul of every single republican in this great country of ours?

The McCain-Palin ticket claimed that they are running for office to serve their country and not because they want a job description added to their resume or maybe after four years to have a library named after them. I will ponder on that statement Madam Governor. Let me remind you and the rest of the world that everyone who runs for office wants to have that page added on to their resumes.let us all be honest about that because that is reality. That goes whether you are a democrat, republican, or an independent because if you only want to serve your country and/or your fellow citizens you can serve as a "community organizer." That's what community organizers do.they serve with no political gain and most of the time without even getting paid.

For the record, let me give you a few names of specific community organizers that are virtually unknown, but had taken the "yoke" and got "down and dirty" serving this country. Eric Klein of Can-Do.Org, Stephen Klein of Stephen's Journey and Maria Gunnoe - a full time organizer of the Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition. These faceless people like Eric Klein and his crew, went to the flood stricken forgotten citizens of Wapello, Iowa raising money and going back for a second time to distribute school bags to its still homeless people of that area. He is asked by reporters, why he did what he did. Eric simply replies, "Because I had promised that I would come back." Someone like Stephen Klein, who after building his business from the ground up chose to go to New Orleans and to start building homes for the homeless. Maria Gunnoe says that she would die if she ever stopped doing what she is doing. These "community organizers" that you, Madam Governor, had belittled last night helped made this country and its citizens better. It is because of them that things get done.because FEMA had no clue when Katrina hit three years ago. They (community organizers) don't have anything to gain.they are not paid to do it, and for sure they don't need another page added to their resumes. So I throw back to you Madam Governor, what have YOU done in your own home state of Alaska.in your little town of Wasilla?

Here is what I say to the Republicans. Speeches that are demeaning, insulting, or condescending do not win elections. Never underestimate the intelligence of the voting electorate! The American people are a lot wiser and more intelligent than you give them credit for.

Earlier this week Rick Davis, a top McCain campaign manager, was quoted as saying, "This election is not about issues." he went on, "This election is about a composite view of what people take away from these candidates." You have got to be kidding me.right? Are you saying that the GOP is in some sort of personality contest with the Democrats? Come on.Americans deserve better than a personality contest. But then I have to remember.their Vice Presidential Nominee was a 2nd runner up for Ms. Wasilla. She understands what a "beauty contest" is is all about.

Let's hope these candidates try to stick to the issues to solve the gas prices, and to restore American's faith in their government and in the White House (the Presidency). Let's hope they tell us a way where homeowners won't loose their dream homes.homes they have earned and worked hard to keep it. Let's hope they can end the war and bring the troops home while keeping this country safe. Let's hope they give our children better schools and a better education regardless of their location. Let's hope that they can convince this America that after eight years of a failed Bush-Chaney administration we can trust a McCain-Palin administration.

You have to do better than to attack Barack Obama's rhetoric or question Michelle Obama's patriotism. Your attacks are just showing how your campaign belittles the intelligence of the voting public to which you need to run a "smear-filled" campaign to reach your voters. The fight is on.the race is tight. Step up to the plate and go beyond all the negativities and give us some specifics please! This country definitely needs an extreme make-over.inside and out. It needs Change! But before you can change the country, you have to change how you practice your politics!

I can't argue with that

I just found it funny that Imorovan only applied the "executive experience" yardstick on the VP candidates. Honestly, the experience argument is the one that least concerns me at the moment. I mean, given the incompetence are elected most of our elected officials display, you have to wonder if it means a damn thing. I won't be going to the polls this November with much enthusiasm for whomever I cast cast my vote for. :( ↑ Grab this Headline Animator

The experience argument...

It breaks down like this: The presidency is an executive office, hence the name of the branch it is in - the Executive. McCain and Obama have no executive experience, so it is a wash as far as that goes. But McCain has been in federal office for 26 years - Obama has been there for less than four years. The advantage therefore, goes to McCain. Palin actually has executive experience (which is relevant to the executive position of vice-president) as a mayor and governor...but most people want to throw out the six-year Wasilla experience, so we will give her the governor experience, which is just under two years. Biden has none. Advantage, Palin. While lmorovan's numbers were a bit off, the point remains the same: McCain/Palin has more comparable and relevant experience than Obama/Biden. Is that easier to understand? *If you're interested in reading my articles, Click Here.

Nothing complicated about it

You're using the "executive experience" argument, I take it, where Palin gets 2 years and Biden 0. However, you don't apply the same yardstick to McCain, who has the same amount of "executive experience" as Obama -- 0 years. Why is that? ↑ Grab this Headline Animator

Simple

McCain is the Presidential candidate. Bidden is the Vice Presidential candidate. McCain goes against Obama. palin against Bidden. Now, if you want to make it complex and complicated, be my guest. Intertesting, Imorovan

How is it that McCain gets 20, but Biden gets 0?

Experience?
