Rest Gently

This is a just a write that I based on a poem by the same name that Pamela A. Lamppa has posted on her authors page at www.creative-poems.com.
Rest Gently!
Rest gently now my darling.
Rest in your grave so secure.
Know now that no one will ever bother you again.
Whether it come snow—sunshine, or rain.
Rest gently now darling rest in your grave so low.
My love, sleep gently.
Know that I love you even with you already gone.
Rest gently knowing that I soon will be with you.
I know that without you I cannot go on.
Already, I am so lonely and blue.I know not what I will do while you rest gently all alone.
Johnny Yuma here, I am a happily married Husband, Dad of three two boys, and one girl, and Grandpa to seven wonderful Grandkids. I am a writer of short poems, essays, and a few short stories. I also try to be a Christian. I have a few poems published in paperbacks such as Poesia. Poesia is a paperback book that is published by Indian Bay Press in Fayetteville, Arkansas. With that many Grandkids I stay fairly busy which is fine by me. I mostly write at night.
I also have published one book called, "My Life The Way I Remember It".

I was going to say that your
I was going to say that your poem should be a country song. Very touching Johnny.
Thanks Hannah
Thanks Hannah,
I guess you can tell that I love my wife dearly; although, she sometimes doubts it. We have our ups and downs like all couples do but love one another dearly. It's just that I love writing sad ones--I guess that comes from the fact that I love sad country songs. I base many of my poems on country songs that I hear that affect me in someway.
How do you come up with what you write about and what do you base the writings on?
Johnny
Great!
Your're doing AOK in my book! I agree with your book, life should be as we want to remember it, even if it really wasn't that way! Beautiful, touching poem!
