Restaurant Recipie Secrets
posted April 11, 2008 - 2:47amWhy does food always seem to taste better at restaurants than food cooked at home? I have pondered and questioned what I was doing differently that what was being done at a restaurant. I'm not a chef, but have always wanted to cook like one, especially when it came to the holidays and summer outdoor events. I have friends who are in the food service profession and have recommended something called the Copy Cat Cookbook.
Basically, I love eating out, but the cost has kept me away from restaurants, especially now that I'm on an ever increasingly tight budget. So what was I supposed to do? I couldn't live off of my watery omelets forever. The answer came in something called the Copy Cat Cookbook, which had literally hundreds of recipies from major restaurants. I'm not a professional chef in any way, but the recipies were easy to follow and the food came out tasting great. Of course it's easier when someone else makes the food (ie: eating out), but the recipies were dead on, so I didn't mind the extra effort. And besides, I got to be the consumer and the chef.
The best part was that I knew EXACTLY what was going into the food I was making, and I could make adjustments in ingredients to make the meal healthier and lighter and still taste great. I also saved money by not having to drive to the restaurant, and saved time by not having to wait to be seated. I've also improved my cooking skills and I'm eating more nutrient rich meals that taste just like my favorite and more costly dishes that a restaurant would serve.
I highly recommend the Copy Cat Cookbook. Please, try this out if you are sick of paying high prices, driving to and waiting at restaurants. You can find the Copy Cat Cookbook at the link below.
