Dakota at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood is just beautiful. It has a sophisticated romantic feel to it. I love that there is plenty of room in between tables so that if you are wanting to have a private
moment with that special person, your next door neighbors will not have to over hear what you are saying and vice versa! It has an airy contemporary feel. This makes for a great place to have a sophisticated kind of wedding.

They are very prompt to seat their guests and if you have a reservation there is no wait time for you. The overall service here is great as the servers have been trained to be very attentive to their guests. They know how to focus in on them and not be distracted by the other things that may be going on around them. Just so you know there are some of them that can be a little pushy when it comes to ordering a special or something off the wine list. They are not rude, but some of them have a little bit of a pushy edge. All in all the service is great.

What Dakota is most known for are its steaks. So, if you do come here come hungry enough for a steak. There is one item that I would highly recommend that you avoid and that is the lamb that comes on skewers. This is definitely not the best lamb you have ever tasted. It surely cannot hold a candle to the taste of their steak. I would save ordering lamb for the next time that you go to a Greek restaurant where they know how to do it right.

The portion sizes here are a little bit disappointing! They really should serve you so much more for the money that you have to pay here. It is easy to spend $40.00 and for that price the portions should be big enough that I could take it home and have seconds and thirds.

Now, for the dessert that is the finishing touch for any meal. I recommend the chocolate soufflé it is light and hits the spot without overwhelming you. The apple cobbler would be excellent if it were not so sweet. For those of you who love really sweet desserts you may very well enjoy this dessert. If overly sweet desserts are just not your cup of tea then I know for sure that this dessert will most likely disappoint you.
I think the price is not worth the quality of the food, but that atmosphere is so amazing! The outdoor seating is captivating. So, if you would just like to come here to treat someone to a wonderful environment you can come for appetizers or dessert and coffee. This will save you money on
just above mediocre meals and you will be able to enjoy a wonderful evening in an amazing ambiance.

Parking is a little crazy and of course since you are in 'Hollywood you will have to pay a pretty little penny for parking! The cool thing is that celebrities like Lindsay Lohan have been spotted trying to leave this parking lot.
