Revelation from Photo Jimra (Jim Robinson): Jimmy Paravane's True CopyRi..ts
posted July 18, 2008 - 2:11pmSubscribing to Jim Paravane's blog at the link below will email you a link to a feed from his blog everytime he writes a new entry.
I invite you to subscribe. As far as you need know, that's the extent of my work with the feed. But I've also monetized the feed, so I'm also making money everytime you use the feed! (The money is not necessarily going "to me," but money is moving somewhere!)
Some people would say, "Aren't you stealing from Jimmy Paravane?" No, I'm not; I'm simply prospering the link I've given you. If you want more of his work, I can't give it to you unless you find more when you go to him.
That's one of the revelations reached in a conversation between photographer Jim Robinson and myself; he was wondering if he should be over-cautious in putting his work with his photos on the web like I do with my writing.
I replied that people who 'sell' writing on the web are generally gentlemen enough to refrain from stealing it, but–if anyone did lift my work and claim it as `r own–their customers wouldn't be able to use me as readily as the customers could if they went straight to me.
Jimmy, below, is another common man (with his extra-specialness being his status as caretaker of a beautiful woman whose birthday party-day is July 19) who observes the world and updates his blog with his observations. Subscribe below, and you'll get an email-update with every new observation!
