Ricky Gervais on Celebrities

Ricky Gervais on Celebrities

Ricky Gervais is a British comedian and one of the funniest that I've seen since Eddie Izzard. Here is one of the videos I can actually post of him since his humor can be a little bawdy. Anyway, this video is part of the Big Think series and is about Ricky and his take on celebrity issues.

Funny stuff!

You lookin' at me? I am now!

It's funny. I knew Robert DeNiro by reputation for that whole "You lookin' at me?" bit from Taxi Driver long before I ever saw the movie. By the time I did rent the movie, it was hard not to laugh as he went through that routine in front of the mirror after he gave himeself a mohawk. I am shopping around for his DVD's, convinced as I am that YouTube will only have a series of clips and that's not the same. I did find an index of the Extras show and DeNiro's appearance was the last episode of Season 2, though. I'll look for Gavin and Stacey, too. :) I found a possible workaround for the region coding. I already have a DVD-rom drive on my computer, which is tagged with Region 1 (NTSC for North America). I have one more slot open for a DVD-Rom drive, which I can pick up now rather inexpensively (about US $30), and I can use the DVD software "code" the DVD player to Region 2 (PAL for Europe). After that, I don't need to look for Region 1 DVD's for Ricky Gervais anymore. (WooHoo!) Plus, I've been wanting to buy Eddie Izzard's Sexie since Christmas but it hasn't been released in NTSC here in the States yet. CLICK HERE TO JOIN XOMBA TODAY!

People who enjoy this also enjoy

Thanks for these clips jdubhub. I didn't have to watch them as just the opening images set me off, quaking with laughter - tinged with embarrassment, remembering. Just you wait until you see the the entire two series of Extras - it'll be such a treat. Without wishing to sound too much like an advert - people who like Extras also like Gavin and Stacey - hope you have time to check that out (if not already). All the best AAT2

Robert DeNiro on Extras

I haven't found the whole show yet, but here are a couple of clips from it. CLICK HERE TO JOIN XOMBA TODAY!

Ricky Gervais on Celebrities

He is funny but his tickets are a little high.

I'll have to look for that one, AAT2

I'd seen Ricky in Ben Stiller's A Night at the Museum and in Ghost Town, but I hadn't really seen anything else of his until I started poking around YouTube. There hasn't really been a lot of his DVDs coded for North America and sold in the States until his November 2008 HBO special, which I do want to buy on DVD. I love his bit from Politics on Nietsche and Hitler. CLICK HERE TO JOIN XOMBA TODAY!

The Gift of Laughter

Thanks for this jdubhub. It provided a well needed laugh. Are you familiar with Extras? The episode featuring Robert de Nero should not be missed...
