Rock in My Windshield

Just needing to vent…
Driving home from work this evening- rush hour traffic but it doesn’t bother me. It’s a gorgeous fall day, the sun is bright, the air crisp. Windows open, listening to music, no worries. SNAP! A rock hits the windshield. It looks like a bullet hole! Of course I think, “What is this sign? Am I being snapped back to reality? Should I not be this calm and cool driving home from work in rush hour traffic?”
So, I try to keep myself collected. What can you do, right? I call the insurance when I get home expecting to just get it all taken care of. WRONG! The deductible will be $250. I have so many other things to spend $250 on. Food, a new couch, yoga classes, a weekend in the city. Those are things I deserve, things that make me happy and peaceful.
Conclusion- A rock in my windshield. It’s not a good sign.
