When I added the Japanese movie, Wild Zero to my Netflix queue I had no idea what I was in for. I had read somewhere online that it was a great zombie flick. Oh, but lucky me, it was so much more than that. For starters, the main heroes are named Ace and Guitar Wolf. Guitar Wolf is not just the name of the protagonist, but also the name of the band.

Ace wants to be the rock 'n' legend that Guitar Wolf is so of course they become blood brothers. Anyhow, strange meteorites have been sighted all over Japan, but really they are UFOs. This triggers a whole town to be turned into zombies and the mayhem begins.

Some of the movie doesn't make sense. Ok, well actually a good 30% of the movie doesn't make sense. However, don't let that deter you from watching.

I don't want to spoil anymore of the movie, but let me tell you that first thing this morning I went online and bought the movie and Guitar Wolf's greatest hits album.

So if you like Rockabilly or good old fashioned rock 'n' roll and zombies be sure to check out Wild Zero.
