Rock Pioneer Bo Diddley Has Died

Bo Diddley, who fused rock and R&B together, has died of heart failure at the age of 79. That chugging Bo Diddley beat that he created has been used in many songs over the years by all kinds of artists, from Buddy Holly's "Not Fade Away" and Bruce Springsteen's "She's the One" to U2's "Desire."

Bo Diddley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
