Former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is holding his own convention... and it will take place right near, the Republican National Convention, at the same time as the GOP's big bash.

A spokesman for the Ron Paul campaign has said that the event will be held at the Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis on Sept. 2. That is the second day of the Republican National Convention, which takes place at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, the twin city of Minneapolis.
