Run Obama Run

Run Obama Run

Is it just me or is it extremely exciting to see Barack Obama inch closer and closer towards a run for the presidency?

I don't think I'm the only one excited because he has made quite the stir up in New Hampshire this weekend. During Obama's first ever trip there he drew 1,500 people to a Democratic fund raiser. Needless to say, raising funds for the Democratic party wasn't the only reason Obama went to New Hampshire. New Hampshire just happens to be the location of the first presidential primary in 2008.

I suppose the only question now is will he run. I am prepared to go out on a limb and make the prediction that Barack Obama will run for president in 2008. The timing is just too perfect for him and he knows it. Sure he may be somewhat inexperienced but at this point the country would much rather have fresh blood and new ideas than more of the same. Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and John Edwards are status quo Democrats and could never fire up the base the way Barack Obama would.

On the topic of Hillary Clinton, I hope that she doesn't even attempt to run, but I know that is unrealistic. Hillary will run and she will lose the primary because Demcrats know she can't win the general election. She could never do better than 51% in any national election because of the amount of people that would never even consider voting for her, and that margin of error is just too small.

So Hillary please stay at home and make way for the new star of the Democratic party Barack Obama, a man with (dare I say it) a chance to become the first African American president of the United States.
