"S&M Barbie" Flogged By Religious Groups

A new Barbie due out in September has whipped some Christian groups into a frenzy. It seems that Black Canary Barbie's fashion statement, borrowed from the DC Comics character of the same name, is exciting a controversy. Some Christians have called the doll "filth." So, is Barbie's
get up too prurient? Or are the protesters perverts? One does wonder if six year old girls are really reading S&M into the dolls. Or do the priggish protesters really have dirty minds? One thing's for sure: If the controversy really heats up collectors will certainly be snatching their S&M Barbies ASAP. But one wonders if these Christian complainers were aware of Cat Woman Barbie:
