Safety First - Learn From The Mistakes Of Others

These photos were sent out attached to the Weekly Safety E-Mail from the company that I work for.

The driver of this truck, while trying to strap down his load, threw the tie-down cable into the air where it snagged a power line, with the results you see here. The driver told the fire department that the “tires started smoking in seconds.” Fortunately no one was injured in this incident.

If you look closely at the first picture, you can see the tie down cable snagged on the power lines. Many times simple and apparently harmless tasks carry risks that are easy to spot if we would just take a few seconds to become aware of our surroundings. BE SAFE AND TAKE CARE.
