Sail the Northwest Passage. Exploit Global Warming! (Think of it as a business marketing opportunity!)
posted August 25, 2007 - 10:56pmSail the Northwest Passage Exploit Global Warming! Show us all! You may never have a chance to do so again since the Canadians call the Passage a part of their internal waters. But other nations disagree. If not now WHEN?
As I write this the Famed NORTHWEST PASSAGE through the Canadian Arctic, the cold bleak, desolate barrens of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, the naked rocks and ground to dust glacially tilled Great North is opening!
This is the year! Or at least appears to be the easiest year this century so far. Maybe you can organize an historic trail-blazing tourist cruise yet this year -- and surely at least get ready for next year! Make this chance of a lifetime your opportunity! Accomplish the 21st Century's First Northwest Passage for tourists!! Maybe you can make Barrow, touch down and return -- truly a first! How long will this opportunity present itself?

Adventure: Rescuing! Hunting! Searching! Thrills! Your Indomitable Spirit..!
Think of the thrill! As you make the transition to the high open arctic ocean and into the ice free waters you may see many a polar bear bodies afloat, dead in the water, drowned. If you really are prepared, you and your tourists can effect rescues of the weakened and still surviving near-dead bears you discover. That could make you even more famous! Rescue from Death Sentence at sea!
Point Barrow could be used as a land point and harbor for GHG fuels and a point to use as an anchor to explore the waters for dead and dying ursus maritimus for you sporting types!
Would you hunt bear in the water?
In international waters who can stop you or tax you? (Animal lovers can't even stop the Norwegian, Japanese and Icelanders from slaughtering the whales! Even the Australians, who could easily put a stop to the so-called scientific Japanese whaling slaughter in their claimed territorial waters and preserves in the Southern Ocean with one torpedo a year -- doesn't have the eco-will to end the scientific "sport.") Who is going to stop you from taking a few thousand bear? If a bear you spot makes it to the edge of the sea ice, even more money and sporting excitement can be generated! Granted, as a trophy, you might have trouble getting it back to the US, but if you could flaunt your wealth, build your trophy room in northern Canada!
You can make this your initial opportunity! Explore the Passage. Engineer the route from the east and China to the vast markets of Europe. Don't miss the 'boat!'
This year for a while, The Northwest Passage will be open, if it has not already opened for small to medium sized vessels. (65 feet to 400 feet) If you are much of a seaman or navigator you ought to be using this small window to sail or motor the route.

Do the traverse in a few weeks with a highspeed craft, what took Amundsen over two years! At the very least do a quick survey. A well planned and executed adventure will draw lots of attention.
Imagine an arctic racing cigarette boat speeding between chunks of sea ice on a well explored open channel of water! Think of the footage, think of the promotional value for attracting shippers! Show a little spine! If you can afford this venture, if you can afford to be a legend in your lifetime! This is it!

Yes. My motive is to show you that we are melting the north, the arctic. We are eradicating the polar bear and ringed seal. What I want you to do is vote some sense. Millions of people will be affected by the rise of sea level and many of you will experience it first hand as it accelerates in the years before 2100.
Get your arctic business ready. Buy the perfectly sheltered place for a summer sea port. Go explore the Passage and plan your future!
Okay? Here below, is an image you can take to the bank.
M'Clure Strait is on the Northwest Passage highway centerline!
Go for it! (Watch out for the Canadians! They might try to become internationally famous before you! Keep on the lookout for hunter killer submarines in the deeper ocean! Enjoy your once in a lifetime challenge, and the fame. Imagine the quick documentary film you can make: "2007 traversing the Northwest Passage." by Your Name.
Sell it to discovery or Nation'l geo. . . A great advertisement for CO2 polluters -- on both side of the ecosystem battle. Make this anthropogenic global warming work for you!)
