A Sample Complaint Letter to Chili's Restaurants
posted April 29, 2009 - 10:07pmTo Chili's,
As a student at Texas Tech University, the convenient location of the Chili's store makes deciding where to eat easy. I have grown up eating at Chili's establishments, and when I moved to college I continued the fun occasion of eating at your franchises.
My favorite
part about the restaurant is how almost every kind of eater can find something on the menu that appeals to him or her. From the extensive menu to the assorted drink specials, Chili's has consistently exceeded my expectations over the years. I have worked at fine stores such as Pappas Seafood House and Abuelo's Mexican Food Embassy, so you can imagine I am a harder judge than your average guest.
I cannot recall the exact date but in late January I saw a Chili's advertisement for the new Triple Dipper meal. Considering I like all of the nine choices offered, I did not hesitate to make a trip to the University location that is only blocks away from my home. I chose the hamburger sliders, buffalo chicken sliders, and the southwestern eggrolls. Our meals came to the table, and at first everything looked as expected. After taking a bite of the buffalo chicken sliders, I noticed the chicken was severely undercooked. I explained the situation to our waitress and she promptly removed the chicken sliders, and came back when the new and fully-cooked chicken sliders were done. My roommate and I finished the rest of our meals and walked out of the restaurant relieved and satisfied.
The purpose of my letter is to inform you of the dangers of Salmonella. The peanut butter Salmonella outbreak has continued to plague our country. I could have easily gotten Salmonella from eating undercooked chicken without realizing it. I have enjoyed Chili's so much over the years that I want the franchise to continue to prosper. All I ask in return for my unpleasant experience is a written letter to inform me that my letter was received by your store. Also, if you could please notify your kitchen staff to make sure that the chicken is properly cooked before leaving the back of the house. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter, and your response is greatly appreciated. Have a great day.
Sincerely,
Your name
